Demex Daily #223: Status Partners with Linea to Scale Ethereum via zkEVM L2 Rollup

What’s Interesting Today:

Linea, an Ethereum layer-2 (L2) solution, has welcomed Status as its first contributor to its open-source zkEVM-powered L2 rollup project. This partnership is part of a broader initiative to decentralize and enhance the Ethereum ecosystem. Status will integrate and develop the Linea codebase in parallel, strengthening the network and focusing on core engineering and diversity in client and prover systems. The collaboration aligns with both parties' goal to scale Ethereum effectively using zkEVM technology, which aims to reduce transaction fees and increase throughput. This move follows recent insights by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin on the rapid improvement of cross-L2 interoperability and user experience within the Ethereum network.

ArkeFi has partnered with The Barker Price to develop the Fractional Ownership Protection (FOP), a new solution aimed at securing investments in tokenized non-bankable assets (nBAs) like art, cars, and collectibles. This platform allows fractional ownership of such assets at 50% of their Fair Market Value (FMV), with a smart contract feature for sellers to repurchase at 55% of FMV. The new FOP will provide 50% FMV coverage to protect fractional owners against financial risks, integrating sophisticated AI and analytics for precise asset valuation. This collaboration underscores both companies' commitment to enhancing security and innovation in the crypto and fractional investment sectors.
