Demex Daily #251: Bitget Launches OmniConnect SDK for Telegram Mini-Apps

What’s Interesting Today:

Bitget Wallet has launched OmniConnect, a software development kit (SDK) enabling developers to link Telegram Mini-Apps to various multichain ecosystems, including Solana, TON, and EVM-compatible chains. This tool allows over a billion Telegram users and developers to interact seamlessly with multiple blockchains, moving beyond the previous limitation of only connecting to the TON network. Developers can create Telegram apps without needing explicit permission, making the process largely permissionless, although larger-scale integrations may require following specific guidelines. As of now, no partner products have launched using the SDK, but Bitget expects this to change soon.

Synthetix is undergoing a governance overhaul through the "SR-2" proposal, which has near-unanimous support, with 99.93% of votes favoring it. The proposal aims to streamline governance by consolidating decision-making into a single Spartan Council, addressing inefficiencies and governance failures in the current multi-council system. Key updates include improvements to Synthetix's Layer 2 network, Snaxchain, the migration of SNX tokens, launching a new stablecoin, and deploying Synthetix on Solana. This overhaul comes as Synthetix faces a decline in market presence, with TVL dropping and trading volumes decreasing. Voting concludes on October 3.
