Demex Daily #273: BOB Joins Optimism’s Superchain to Link Bitcoin and Ethereum for DeFi

What’s Interesting Today:

BOB, a Bitcoin layer-2 project, has integrated with Optimism's Superchain ecosystem, becoming the first Bitcoin-native addition to this framework. This partnership aims to create bridges between Bitcoin and Ethereum, enhancing Bitcoin's role in decentralized finance (DeFi). BOB received a grant of approximately $870,000 from the Optimism Foundation as part of the integration, which utilizes the OP Stack toolkit for developers to build custom blockchains on the Optimism network. Although Optimism's total-value locked (TVL) stands at over $6 billion, lagging behind Arbitrum's $13 billion, its ecosystem boasts more than 40 rollups, collectively exceeding $18 billion in TVL.
