Zircuit is launching the Garfield testnet in late February 2025, introducing full support for Cancun opcodes, Pectra compatibility, and an advanced prover for improved efficiency. This testnet will serve as a testing ground for Ethereum upgrades before their integration into the Zircuit mainnet in March 2025. Key features include a new proving cluster, EIP-7702 readiness, and enhanced infrastructure. Developers must update configurations to access the new network. The current testnet will be sunset on May 31, 2025, with an escape hatch ensuring asset withdrawals. Zircuit is also enhancing its mainnet with faster RPC endpoints, an upgraded block explorer, and an improved bridge for seamless transactions.
Canary Capital, founded by former Valkyrie co-founder Steven McClurg, has submitted an SEC filing to introduce an ETF tied to Axelar’s AXL token, highlighting its strong development team and increasing institutional interest. Axelar, a cross-chain protocol used by J.P. Morgan, Microsoft, Uniswap, and MetaMask, facilitates secure blockchain interoperability. To enhance regulatory compliance, former Coinbase legal chief Brian Brooks has joined Axelar’s newly established Institutional Advisory Board. McClurg expects AXL to rank among the top 20 tokens as its market presence grows.
