Kadena, the scalable Proof of Work blockchain, has partnered with Lurk Lab to develop a Zero-Knowledge (ZK) tech stack, including a ZK bridge between Ethereum and Kadena. This collaboration aims to enable secure cross-chain messaging. The roadmap consists of two milestones to be achieved in the second half of 2024, with a third milestone following later. Both Kadena's CTO, John Wiegley, and Lurk Lab's CEO, John Burnham, highlight the importance of integrating zero-knowledge cryptography and functional programming techniques to enhance blockchain performance and safety.

Trezor has launched its new Trezor Safe 5 hardware wallet, featuring enhanced security with an EAL 6+ certified Secure Element and a haptic color touchscreen for improved usability. This device supports a wide range of cryptocurrencies and offers an upgraded 20-word backup process using Shamir's secret sharing for increased security. Additionally, Trezor introduced the Trezor Expert service, providing personalized setup assistance to help users, especially beginners, confidently manage their crypto assets. The Trezor Safe 5 is available for pre-order, with prices starting at $169, and the Trezor Expert service can be accessed for $99. The device is set to be available in various finishes and a Bitcoin-only version is also offered.
